Game Overview
Here, you will find an explanation of the game mechanics, quests, and points of interest.
Educational Objectives
History and Geography: This virtual journey through Pompeii, set just before and during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the 1st century AD, offers students an immersive opportunity to understand how the Romans lived (Part 1 of the game) and how the Plinian eruption unfolded (Part 2 of the game).
Languages: The in-game dialogues, essential for progression, support a good understanding of the instructions and provide practice with simple, functional sentences in three languages: French, English, and Italian.
Technology: Developing the game with Unity is an example of using a tool for creating and designing games. Playing the game gives users a chance to explore and make choices in a fun and educational digital environment that combines images, sounds, and stories.
Additional/Leisure Use: The appeal of a video game combined with its educational value encourages smart and spontaneous use by students during their free time, whether at school or at home.
